Bridges Resources in Spanish

Many Bridges components are available in Spanish. All student materials have been translated and are found in pdf format on the data disk that comes with Bridges classroom kits. Some student books are located on the MLC website for free download.  Select titles are also available in consumable, preprinted format.


New Links to Additional Resources

A variety of wonderful resources complement Bridges, including many that have been highlighted in this blog; some contributed by readers. Recently we decided it might be helpful to make resource collections available, organized by grade level and tied directly to Bridges Units and Number Corner months. This work is well underway and we will continue to build and refine the collections over time.


Free Number Rack App

The Math Learning Center is pleased to announce the release of the Number Rack App available at no charge from the iApps Store in iTunes and as a free Web application. The rows of moveable, colored beads encourage learners to think in groups of fives and tens, helping them to explore and discover a variety of addition and subtraction strategies.


World Maths Day is Here!

March 7 is World Maths Day. On the site, students play "at home and at school against other students around the world in live games of mental arithmetic. Each game lasts for 60 seconds and students can play up to 100 games, earning points for their personal tally.
